Julie Delpy's directorial debut which she also edited, wrote and produced – and of course, stars in – follows two days in the relationship of a New York-based couple, French photographer Marion and American interior designer Jack, as they attempt to revitalise their relationship with a romantic holiday in Europe .
After a botched trip to Venice where they both came down with gastroenteritis, they have higher hopes for Paris . But unable to speak French, Jack feels confused and alienated, a condition which isn't improved by constantly running into Marion 's flirtatious ex-boyfriends.

But 2 Days in Paris is altogether funnier and edgier than those wonderful films while at the same time maintaining their sense of delicacy and charm. A delicious treat that amidst all the humour, seriously questions our human capacity for lifelong monogamy.
